LFW – Fearne Cotton for Very.co.uk S/S 2013 collection launch

Yesterday at Mayfair’s Claridge ballroom the glowing radio DJ, Fearne Cotton revealed her growing baby bump as well as her elegant S/S 13 collection for Very.co.uk in a long black gothic number. The show can only be described as a smooth event with a fantastic turn out that even Fearne wasn’t expecting as she appeared on stage with a happily surprised face. Celebrities such as Made in Chelsea star Millie Mackintosh and artist/boyfriend Professor Green, as well as the expected Keith Lemon, showed their support. 

There was a definite feminine theme in the room with delicate tea lights in lanterns hanging on light pink blossom trees, which also featured on the runway as part of the stage. There were various delicious canapés and cupcakes as well as a bar serving well selected alcoholic beverages. 

The show really exhibited Fearne’s playful and yet sophisticated side. She took classic pieces such as the mac and gave it a 60’s tailored silhouette. Whilst tops using materials such as lace were combined with neon tones. The models rocked scruffy up-do plaits with the ultimate must-have shoe, black pumps. This collection clearly had a wow dress, the skin toned, mesh figure hugging dress, worn by her boyfriends sister Leah Wood.

Overall this fashion show puts London Fashion Week in good stead and reminds us why Fearne Cotton is one our favourite Brit trendsetters. The success of this event raises questions of a baby range…. Watch this space!
