MLPR SS13 Press Day highlights: Wonderland and Tatty Devine
Fashion, jewellery and lifestyle specialists MLPR find some of the most exciting and emerging designers and labels in the industry, and surface them to the press and public. Since 2005, MLPR have represented popular examples of contemporary British design, including Wilbur & Gussie, Total Wardrobe Care and Mimi Berry.
Yesterday saw them showcasing some of their latest and greatest designer collections. Cakes and bubbly champagne were on offer whilst individuals could peruse the rails and stands to take in the creations. Luxurious Dote showcased their collection devoted to the art of sleep, with Scottish cashmere blankets, liberty cotton camisoles and sinuous silk slips taking centre stage.
Alongside the softness of Dote was the bright and vibrant style of Wonderland debuting their SS13 collection: short shorts and flowing dresses were the order of the day, with soft fabrics and tropical bird prints. Ronen Chen brought his angular yet easy collection to the press day: zesty yellows and tie dye prints feature for this collection made with the mature woman in mind.
Accessories were in abundance. Lucas Jack had fashion-forward geometric enamel rings sat beside brightly coloured drop earrings and multi star gold bracelets. Lucy Campbell supplied timeless elegance with her collection of engagement rings, earrings and cufflinks covered with diamonds and coloured gemstones. Arguably saving the best until last, Tatty Devine brought the tropics to central London, with palm leaf earrings in gold and green, and flora and fauna necklaces adding a colourful punch to next season’s looks.
