LFW – Pam Hogg A/W 2013 collection
Press, buyers and fans queued excessively on Saturday evening for the preview of Pam Hogg’s AW13 collection.
Despite the cold British weather, endless queues circulated the Vauxhall Fashion Scout at Freemason’s Hall as everyone waited in anticipation for what was in store. Inside the venue, the scene was set with the likes of Princess Julia and Jamie Winstone sitting front row for the show to begin.
On entrance of the first model, we knew that we would certainly not be left disappointed. Huge headwear was first on the agenda for the collection titled The Emperor’s New Clothes. Perfectly fitting large monochrome cubes with neck straps overwhelmed model’s heads creating the ultimate statement.
Next on the wacky Hogg agenda was nudity. Models baring all in open patent leather coats were natural and striking. Dancers from the Royal Ballet continued to wow the crowd as they walked up the aisle, stopping to pull intriguing and intense movements and receiving intense applause.
As the show continued so did the sheer insanity of the outfits. Vast and powerful fur headwear came with dresses and full body suits that proved this show was a true reflection of flawless creative talent.
