Love for Lichtenstein!
The Tate Modern in London welcomes the arrival of the exciting Roy Lichtenstein exhibition including some of the artist’s most famous and definitive works. Lichtenstein is renowned for his works based on comic book strips with bold and vibrant palettes.
With the arrival of the exhibition, the high street welcomes the influence of Pop Art into the world of fashion.
Primary colours, speech bubbles and comic strip designs are set to take off over the spring and summer months this year. The fun and vivid combination of sound effect words and explosions seen throughout Lichtenstein’s work are printed on casual cropped tops and T-shirts to create a unique and instantly recognisable style.
The return of Mickey Mouse and classic icons such as Marilyn Monroe and Elvis Presley, who’s photographs were famously recreated into colourful works by the artist Andy Warhol are also set to make an appearance in stores this Spring.
Pop art is here to make a vibrant and electrifying come back, set to make the up and coming season a bright and exciting one full of casual and vivid pieces.
