South African-born Jess is Assistant Food Editor for The Upcoming, and has spent many years perfecting her craft: the art of eating. She spent three years studying cookery in Cape Town before wanderlust hit, causing her to pack up and move to the Big Smoke. Now based in Notting Hill, she finds solace in the foodie spots in London and can often be found sniffing out the newest restaurant openings and latest cookery books. She has a soft spot for food markets and is often hanging around Portobello on a Saturday morning. It’s all food, all the time, with a little yoga in between to keep things balanced. Jess believes there’s really no excuse for anyone not to eat well, particularly in a melting pot such as London.
