I am a freelance journalist. I’ve worked with a Sky broadcaster researching and producing news scripts, recording my own voice-overs, and covered the height of the Arab Spring during the Libyan crisis. Following the events of 9/11 I wrote breaking stories covering race attacks in the US and UK. Most recently I undertook an assignment covering the ongoing Syrian revolution for an Arab News website. I also hold a particular interest in Central Asian affairs. I have written for the Derby Telegraph and Birmingham Mail. Soon after studying BSc Biomedical Science at university, I worked as a seasonal cabin crew for a short haul European Airline. I also hold a passion for art – I work mostly with charcoal and pastels and did do portraits previously however this is redundant, nowadays I find relaxation in scenic and inspiring landscapes.
